20, April : The Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and the chief minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, held a road show in Athani of Karnataka in favour of AAP candidates. Mann fiercely targeted the BJP and Congress during his address to the people there and urged them to vote for the AAP saying that pressing the button of ‘Jhadoo’ means pressing a button for a better future and shining luck. Addressing a large gathering in Athani, Mann said that voting for Congress means wasting your vote as their MLAs are always on sale. And, voting for BJP means giving your vote to lies and ‘jumle’ because we all know none of us received a penny of promised 15 lacs by Narendra Modi. Mann said that the leaders of traditional parties had been looting us for 75 years now. They robbed our children off of education, robbed our youth of employment, robbed our elders of medicines and robbed our martyrs of shrouds.
Mann added that the Aam Aadmi Party is an honest party, we are bringing honest leaders to fight the elections. With our ‘jhadoo’ we are going to clean the political dirt of India and make India corruption free and number one. He said, we talk about education, health, employment, electricity and infrastructure and they (BJP) talk about religion and caste. That is why they don’t do any development and only spread hatred among the people. He said that quality education will eradicate poverty. But BJP’s model is that Manish Sisodia is making world-class schools for the poor, send him to jail; Satyendra Jain started the health revolution in Delhi and built Mohalla clinics where all treatment is free, send him to jail and Arvind Kejriwal is introducing politics of work and getting more popular day by day, file a fake case against him and summon him to CBI office.
Urging the people to give the Aam Aadmi Party a chance, he said that the problems of Punjab and Karnataka are the same. Youth need employment, freedom from corruption. Good schools, colleges and hospitals are needed. A good environment is needed to do business. They need good roads, good infrastructure, and only the Aam Aadmi Party can deliver it all. He mentioned the one year performance of the AAP government in Punjab and said that they have given government jobs to more than 28 thousand youths in Punjab. More than 80 percent of people are getting zero electricity bills. An end has been put to corruption. Those who looted people during the previous governments are now in jails and the government is filling the treasury of Punjab by recovering the money looted by them and public welfare works are being done with that money.
Praising the AAP national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann said he is the only leader who wants our country to progress. He said that thanks to Kejriwal’s reforms in government schools in Delhi, now the children of ordinary citizens of Delhi are getting good education and are becoming officers. Kejriwal gave employment to 12 lakh people during his government in Delhi. He said that Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party are dedicated to our nation and its people. The AAP doesn’t come in any survey, it forms its government directly. He concluded that if the people of Karnataka gave them a chance once they would never vote for the traditional parties again.
