AIIMS Bathinda celebratesIndia’s 100 crore COVID-19 vaccinations landmark

Bathinda, Oct 22 –  India on 21 Oct 2021, Thursday, crossed another significant milestone in its battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, as it touched 100 crore Covid vaccination doses. The event was celebrated throughout the country. On the same lines, Dr. DKSingh, Director and CEO AIIMS Bathinda celebrated the landmark event in the campus by lamp lightening ceremony.  He thanked the scientists who invented the vaccination. He said that the people are now becoming more aware about the vaccine and the initial hesitation for the vaccine has now gone and the target to vaccinate all the adults will also be achieved by the end of this year.He appreciated and highlighted the importance of health workers who performed journeys on foot to mountains and jungles to vaccinate the people of remote areas. Dr. Singh said that AIIMS Bathinda has helped in delivering a large number ofvaccine dosesandorganized Mega Vaccination Drives. Dr. Singh also made an appeal to all the citizens to get vaccinated at the earliest, as it has been seen that third waves in most of the countries is attributed mainly to the non-vaccinated individuals.
