SIT probing Kotkapura firing case files charge sheet in court
Faridkot, 24, February- (Amritpal Singh Sidhu)- Punjab Police’s SIT probing the 2015 Kotkapura firing case headed by SIT chief ADGP LK Yadav and SSP Bathinda Gulneet Singh Khurana has filed a charge sheet in the court of JMIC Ajaypal Singh in Faridkot in FIR registered in case.
Sumedh Singh Saini ex DGP and Sukhbir Singh Badal ex-Home Minister both masterminds of conspiracy for illegal and excessive use of force to conceal the inaction of the state on a series of 3 sacrilege incidents of village Burj Jawaher Singhwala and Gurdwara sahib Bargari( affixing of the derogatory poster and scattering of Angs Shri Gurugranth Sahib Ji) Parkash Singh Badal ex CM also facilitated in the execution of the conspiracy,” charge sheet presented by SIT reportedly stated. Former MLA Mantar Singh Brar was also made accused in the charge sheet. As per sources, IG Param Raj Umranangal, DIG Amar Singh Chahal, SSP Sukhmander Singh Mann, SSP Charanjit Singh, SHO Gurdeep Singh were also listed for the execution of the conspiracy, distortion and concealment of facts.
As per the information, the charge sheet submitted by SIT contained 1400 pages on culpability and 5600 pages on supportive documents and electronic evidence. The charge sheet under Section 307,153,119,109,34,201,217,218,167,193,465,466,471,427,120B IPC,25/27 -54/59 Arms Act.
